A Small Note on Reviews

I've been thinking this over for a while now, and I think I might just link to any review that I do from now on instead of posting it here. The posts for them really take up too much room.

You can find the links below the set of In-Depth guide links. I mainly review games for The Gamers' Temple, so just about all links will lead to their site. I might still post up my own reviews that I write from enjoyment for this site however.

When it comes to a review, it may seem funny, but I usually don't put that much value into another person's opinion on a game while scanning through one unless I've played the game myself - I'm not saying that I'm on some high horse and that I don't respect opinions but I like to try a game out for myself rather than make up my mind based on a review - so whenever I write a review myself, I try to take the reader on a semi-walkthrough of the game and provide some slight opinions here and there rather than persuade the reader one way or the other. At the end of a review, I lay out my full opinion, but I usually don't tell a person to just avoid a game, since I feel that some gamers might find interest in it, even if I didn't like it.

Alright, the review explanation wasn't really needed, but I decided to throw it out there anyway. Hopefully that made sense.

Don't worry, you're pretty clear about what you mean :) I like that detail about your reviews too, that you describe the aspects of the game as a priority. It can certainly be hard, but is a pretty valuable skill :P

BTW, just in time for Bionic Commando Rearmed, Target has a sale on their 1600-point cards for 15$ :D Hopefully you can pick up one or two for the upcoming releases, so that's just a heads up... though CAGs probably already announced it, hehe.

Thanks.

I just got back from Best Buy and picked up two 1600-points cards (w/price match). Usually, I look over the Sunday ads very carefully for video game deals, but I missed the points card sale this time.

Your cool meter just rose another point - now it's at 12. :D

No prob :D I'm usually okay with just paying the points normally but these semi-regular sales are always nice, haha. Target has actually had them on sale the last two times I did go to one, so that was nice.

I try to look for these deals whenever I start to run low on points, so it's much appreciated. If I can save just a few dollars on something it makes me feel better, mainly just because I'm getting a slight deal. My bargain hunting nature comes from my parents I suppose. :D

I might get the NG2 Mission Mode now. In a way, I don't really care about playing it right now though when there's SC4 lying in the disc tray and all. :\

Haha, I know what you mean. It's just calling out to me at times, but I can't seem to let it go. And now with the Olympics I'm not going to be playing much of anything until next week or so. :/ Oh well.

It's too bad that the NG2 mission pack had the bug problems, because I would have actually downloaded it around that time. I suppose I'll eventually buy it later. I can always come back to NG easily.
