Poll Results - formatted FAQs vs text FAQs

Here are the final results for the poll that I put up (and nearly forgot about):

Should I try to write up formatted (HTML) FAQs on GameFAQs?

Yes, I prefer formatted FAQs compared to text FAQs.
10 (47%)

Yes, but do both text and formatted with all your guides.
3 (14%)

No, I only like text FAQs.
8 (38%)

That's good to see that more people favor HTML guides, since that is most likely what you'll be seeing from me from now on. I'll try to make a text version of many of the popular guides that I do, but HTML will always come first.

For those that don't know yet, since the time I made this poll, I've actually gotten a writing position at Neoseeker.com! I've basically finished a Batman: Arkham Origins guide for them and I'm working on Dead Rising 3 right now. I'll work on others for them in the future. I'll try to keep people informed on what I do for Neoseeker with some post about it as I work on them. I'll make up a post for the Dead Rising 3 guide in a few more days. It's still in the VERY early stages at the moment.

I have to admit, the Dead Rising 3 guide got in the way of the Arkham Origins guide and I couldn't finish up the Origins guide the way that I wanted to. I didn't get a chance to list out all the Enigma extortion files like I planned to - I'll try to get that done eventually. Dead Rising 3 takes priority though!

Poll - Which scenario will you play through first on Resident Evil 6?

This is my first poll in quite a while. I'll try to do more of these since I got quite a few votes on this one.

Which scenario will you play through first on Resident Evil 6?

Leon's scenario
22 (62%)

Chris' scenario
9 (25%)

Jake's scenario
4 (11%)

Total votes = 35

And so Leon's scenario will be the main scenario that many will play first. I voted for him too actually. His scenario really seems to carry the main story of the game from the looks of it, so I really want to see his first.

I actually like Leon a lot in RE6 also. He just seems more human than his RE4 or Degeneration appearance. I didn't mind him in RE2 though. Can't wait to see more of his overall gameplay since the demo is pretty lackluster with his scenario. Haha.

Poll #9 - Results

When playing an Xbox 360 game, how important are each game's Achievements to you?

Very important, I'm an Achievement whore! Achievement boosting FTW!
5 (5%)

I try to get as many as I can but I don't let my friends help me out. Either I get them fair and square or I just don't get them.
18 (18%)

I will try to get all of the Achievements for a game that I really like but I don't play a game just for Achievements.
23 (23%)

Achievements are not even a factor whenever I play an X360 game. If I get one then "Oh well... yay?"
18 (18%)

I don't have an Xbox 360, so it doesn't matter...
32 (33%)

Total Votes = 96

No Xbox 360? A PlayStation 3 or Wii perhaps, or no next-gen? I thought I'd have more achievement whores than that also with the achievement boosting threads that I see on GameFAQs. ;p In a way, choices two and three have about the same mind-set really... Should have just placed them together.

I'll have a new poll soon - can't think of a creative poll at the moment.

14 (8%)

Completed Bloody Palace
53 (30%)

None
21 (12%)

Seems as if many of you have completed Bloody Palace. In all honesty, the BP mode in DMC4 seems much easier than the way it was implemented in DMC3 mainly because we now have Nero with his overpowered level 3 charge shot.

I recently tried to go through all of Bloody Palace on the X360 version and stopped around stage 70 for lack of sanity. I really hope that they put some sort of one time save option in the next DMC for those of us that want to take a break for a while and pick up where we left off earlier. It's frustrating to get up really far then have to turn off the game because you have other things to do. For those of you that haven't been all the way through it, it takes about a good 2 and a half hours of gaming to finish all levels.

I'll have up a new poll in a few days, just can't think of anything at the moment.

Did you preorder Devil May Cry 4? Collector's Edition or normal version?

Yes (Collector's Edition)
15 (25%)

Yes (normal version)

No, but I'll buy the Collector's Edition in the store

A fair amount of collector's but I see that many of you don't want to fork out the extra cash for the extras. Really the steel case remains my favorite part of the CE. I haven't even tried the anime yet - I'm really not interested at the moment.

Poll #5 - Results

I'm going to end this poll a bit early since I'm not really content with this poll. I forgot to add the PC version. ;p

How do you intend to play your Devil May Cry 4?

Playstation 3
15 (22%)

Xbox 360
29 (42%)

I'll rent it.

Seems like more of you own a Xbox 360.

So no one else is crazy enough to buy both version besides me? Haha.

Poll #4 - Results

Yee-haw! 102 votes in a month! Very unexpected.

Well, it is now 2008, so I think it's time to stop this particular poll.

Totally agree with you on GoW II. I haven't tried Mario Galaxy yet myself - not really that much a Nintendo fan when it comes to Mario. I prefer Fox McCloud and Samus myself, though I'll give Mario a try later in the year.

Poll #3 Results

I wanted to end this poll a bit early since I have had another one in mind ever since I started this one and wanted to put that one up.

Which current console have you gotten the most gameplay out of this year?

Nintendo DS
0 (0%)

Nintendo Wii
6 (18%)

PC
2 (6%)

Playstation 2
18 (54%)

Playstation 3
5 (15%)

PSP
0 (0%)

Xbox 360
2 (6%)

Total votes = 33

Another reason that I ended this one is because it's very clear to me what most of you have been playing this year. I pretty much expected these results, but I'm a bit shocked at the lack of Xbox 360 support.

EDIT: Kudos to those of you that voted too. I'm quite surprized to have that many votes in a month!

Poll #2 Results

Well, even though the year isn't over, most of the games listed in poll #2 have already been released (one was delayed), so I decided to go ahead and end it.

Which of the following upcoming releases do you intend to buy this year?

Assassin's Creed (PS3/X360)
11 (39%)

Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare (PS3/X360/PC)
5 (17%)

Castlevania: The Dracula X Chronicles (PSP)
2 (7%)

Final Fantasy XII: Revenant Wings (DS)
4 (14%)

Final Fantasy Tactics: The War of the Lions (PSP)
4 (14%)

Ratchet & Clank Future: Tools of Destruction (PS3)
1 (3%)

Resident Evil: The Umbrella Chronicles (Wii)
7 (25%)

Silent Hill Origins (PSP)
4 (14%)

Super Mario Galaxy (Wii)
4 (14%)

Super Smash Bros. Brawl (Wii)
8 (28%)

Syphon Filter: Logan's Shadow (PSP)
0 (0%)

The Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass (DS)
4 (14%)

The Orange Box [Half-Life 2] (PS3/X360/PC)
3 (10%)

Uncharted: Drake's Fortune (PS3)
1 (3%)

Virtua Fighter 5 (X360)
3 (10%)

Total votes = 28

And so many of your prefer Assassin's Creed. It was actually released a few days ago here in the US, and I had to decide between it or RE: Umbrella Chronicles - decisions, decisions, I tell you. ;p By the header image of this blog, I think you know the outcome to that decision.

I'm quite shocked that Super Smash Bros. Brawl didn't do better - that's the main game that I thought would be the most popular.

Poll #1 - Results

I went ahead and ended the poll to the side. I kind of get the point as to the feelings of a good chunk of site visitors - a bunch of you like Final Fantasy, and for good reason, since FFXII is truly a wonderful game.

Here's the final results:

Out of all of my recent guides, which one do you feel is the most helpful?

Dead Rising - 01 (5%)
Final Fantasy XII - 11 (61%)
God of War II - 00 (0%)
Lost Planet - 00 (0%)
Resident Evil 4: Wii Edition - 03 (16%)
Tomb Raider Anniversary - 00 (0%)
They all helped me out. - 03 (16%)
None of them. They all fail. - 00 (0%)

Votes: 18

That's about 17 votes more than I thought I would get! Very nice.

Big thanks to everyone that voted!

Since Final Fantasy XII dominated the charts, I've since started updating that guide again and will try to complete it fully this year like I mentioned in the post below. I'm on the Loot list right now that will list all the ways to obtain every piece of loot. Once that list is finished the rest should be a breeze. Well, for the most part.

I'm still not done proofing that RE4 guide either, although that's about all that is left to do there.
